2025 AP Exam Updates (28 AP Exams Go Digital in May 2025)

  • Starting in May 2025, standard paper testing will be discontinued for 28 AP Exams—these exams will move to the Bluebook digital testing application. This requires students registered for these exams to bring their personal devices with the Bluebook application. For more information on digital AP exams, please refer to the College Board website and Fulbright Korea’s AP news.

Please verify your College Board account before registering for the exam:

  • Log in to your College Board account before registering for the AP exams.
    • If you do not have a College Board account, you must create one using your legal name (as it appears on your passport or ID), email, birthday and other information. Ensure the same information is used when registering for the AP exam at Fulbright Korea.
    • If you already have a College Board account, update it to reflect your legal name if it currently does not.
  • For students with multiple College Board accounts:
    • Contact AP Services for Students to request account consolidation so that you have only one AP ID. Ensure the consolidated account uses your legal name.
  • For students who have previously taken AP, SAT, or PSAT:
    • Use your existing College Board account and do not create an additional one.
  • If you do not remember your login ID or password, use the Self-help option on the College Board site or contact AP Services.

Important: Each year, students face issues on exam day because they did not use their legal name on their College Board account and AP Profile. To avoid such problems, always create and update your College Board account using your legal name as it appears on the passport or ID you will bring to the test center.

AP Exam

Advanced Placement examinations (AP exams) are exams offered by the College Board and are taken each May. Some colleges and universities in the United States grant credits or advanced placement based on AP test scores. Use the AP Credit Policy search tool to find colleges that offer credit or placement for AP scores.

The Fulbright Commission (South Korea) has been administering the AP exams since May 2008 for homeschool, self-study students, or students who are unable to take the AP exams at their school.
