GRE
The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is a standardized test for admission to graduate schools in the United States and other English-speaking countries.
The GRE is divided into two types: the GRE General Test, which assesses general verbal and quantitative reasoning skills, and the GRE Subject Test, which measures knowledge in particular field of study.
The GRE General Test is administered as an internet-based test (iBT). It evaluates three areas: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. The Korean-American Educational Commission operates seven GRE testing labs on the 1F, 2F, and B1F, with approximately 40 test administrations annually.

Starting from September 2023, the GRE Subject Test is administered as an internet-based test (iBT). Currently, GRE Mathematics, GRE Physics, and GRE Psychology are offered. The GRE Subject Tests are offered 2 weeks per month in September, October, and April.

Registration and Inquiries

Test Day
- Bring an acceptable identification.
- Please refer to the ID requirements (GRE General ID requirements | GRE Subject ID requirements) and bring an acceptable ID. If the information doesn’t match, you won’t be able to take the test, and your test fee won’t be refunded.
- Arrive 30 minutes before the test starts.
- Check your name and lab on the roster at the entrance of the building.
- Complete a Confidentiality Statement provided by the proctor and wait quietly.
