Digital PSAT

  • Starting in fall 2023, the College Board has offered PSAT-related exams in a digital format.
  • The SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, and PSAT 8/9 exams all have a total testing time of 2 hours and 14 minutes. For detailed information on the exam structure, please refer to the College Board website.

PSAT

The PSAT (Preliminary SAT) is an examination administered by the College Board in the United States and is intended for students preparing to take the SAT. It is designed to align with grade-level curricula, making it an effective tool for early SAT preparation and for evaluating students’ academic achievement.

  • PSAT/NMSQT: For students in grades 10-11
  • PSAT 10: For students in grade 10
  • PSAT 8/9: For students in grades 8-9

In particular, the PSAT/NMSQT provides scores that are used to determine eligibility for the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Test Dates

  • All test dates are subject to change depending on the test center’s circumstances.
  • If you wish to request testing accommodations, you must submit the relevant request at least one month before the designated registration deadline.

PSAT/NMSQT

The PSAT/NMSQT is administered annually around October.

PSAT 10

The PSAT 10 is administered annually around March.

  • Test Date: Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 9:00 AM
    – Registration Deadline: February 23, 2026

PSAT 8/9

The PSAT 8/9 is administered annually around March and October.

  • Test Date: Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 9:00 AM
    – Registration Deadline: February 23, 2026
  • Test Date: Scheduled for October 2026

Register for PSAT

Test takers may take each of the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, and PSAT 8/9 only once. If a student takes the same PSAT exam more than once, the score may be canceled.

  • Please register for the exam by submitting the form below.
  • After submitting the form, please pay the exam fee in the amount indicated in the form using the displayed bank account information. (Payment deadline: within the registration period)
  • Please do not submit the form multiple times.

What to Expect on Test Day

Bluebook 시험 어플리케이션

Bluebook은 시험일 전에 설치되어야 합니다. Mac, Windows, iPads 등의 기기에서 지원됩니다.

기기 준비

기기 사양 및 설치 지침은 기기 종류 및 테스트에 따라 다릅니다. 시험 당일 사용할 기기가 필수 사양을 충족하는지 확인하십시오.

Test Day

Please check the required test materials listed below in advance, and arrive at the test center one hour before the start of the exam on the test day.

  • Identification: A valid passport or a Korean government-issued ID (e.g., Youth ID card, National ID).
    • All identification must be valid on the test day and must include the test taker’s name and photograph.
    • Student IDs Not Accepted: Student ID cards are not accepted as valid identification for taking the PSAT in Korea.
    • College Board Student ID Form Not Accepted: This form is not permitted outside the United States.

    • A calculator is built into the Bluebook application; however, test takers may also bring an approved physical calculator.

Test devices with the Bluebook application installed will be provided by the KAEC on the test day.
Information regarding Digital Readiness to help students become familiar with Bluebook will be sent to students and parents by email 1–2 weeks prior to the exam.

Scoring

PSAT score reports will be sent individually in PDF format to the student/parent email addresses registered with the KAEC after the score release date.
