Four Steps to Take Digital Exams
All students taking digital AP Exams need to complete four steps to get ready to test.
AP
Advanced Placement examinations (AP exams) are exams offered by the College Board and are taken each May. Some colleges and universities in the United States grant credits or advanced placement based on AP test scores.
Korean-American Educational Commission has been administered the AP exams since May 2008 for homeschool, self-study students, or students who are unable to take the AP exams at their school.
Eligibility
Candidates who can take the 2021 AP exams conducted by KAEC are:
- Students who were born after March 1, 2001 and are
- Homeschool, Self-Study students or
- Students whose school does:
- not offer the AP exam
- not offer the course but does offer the AP exam
- offer the AP exam and course at school but cannot take the exam through the school due to unavoidable circumstances

AP Exam Fee
- AP registration will be completed after the exam fee is received.
- Registration confirmation (payment confirmation) will be sent by SMS text message 2-3 working days after payment.

Exam Day
Check-in Time [Paper (KAEC)]: Candidates must arrive at the test center at least one hour before the exam starts.
- 8 a.m. Exam: check-in will start at 7 a.m.
- 12-noon Exam: check-in will start at 11 a.m.
- 2 p.m. Exam: check-in will start at 1 p.m.
Exam Start Time [Digital (At Home)]
- Digital exams have synchronous start times worldwide, and automatically begin at the same official start time everywhere: 12 p.m. EDT and 4 p.m. EDT.
- Students should check the local time in their country.
- All students are required to check in to their digital AP Exam 30 minutes before start time to complete final pre-exam checks.
- If a student is not able to start the check-in process before the start time of the exam, they will not be allowed to test and will be asked to request a makeup exam.
What to Bring [Paper (KAEC)]
- Identification: a valid passport
- No. 2 pencils, pens with black or dark blue ink, and an acceptable calculator if your AP Exam allows the use of a calculator.
- Candidates must read the exam policies (what to bring on exam day) before the exam.

- AP Scores will be released in July (for Administration 1 and 2) through mid-August (for Administration 3).
