Greetings,

I am Jong-Bok Kim, President of the Korea Fulbright Alumni Association (KFAA).

 

I warmly welcome all alumni and visitors to the official website of the Korea Fulbright Alumni Association.

Our association was established in 1987 to uphold the noble spirit of the Fulbright Program. Since the program’s inception in Korea in 1950, we have grown into a community of approximately 4,000 alumni. Beyond academic excellence, our members have come to form a cornerstone of our society’s intellectual and cultural life.

Over the years, our alumni have played pivotal roles across various sectors, including academia, arts and culture, politics, and public administration. It is a source of immense pride that, as respected leaders and educators, our members continue to contribute to national development. We remain dedicated to the “Fulbright Spirit” — fostering mutual understanding between nations and contributing to world peace through educational and cultural exchange.

The KFAA is committed to realizing the following core values:

• Fostering Alumni Engagement: We will strengthen the bonds between senior and junior alumni, creating a dynamic platform for communication that spans generations and disciplines. By fostering both online and offline networks, we will expand the foundation for practical exchange and cooperation.
• Strengthening Global Networks: While solidifying our domestic network, we will serve as a vital bridge to the global Fulbright community, promoting the values of mutual respect and international cooperation.
• Shaping Social Discourse: We will bring intellectual perspectives and constructive alternatives to bear on major issues facing our society, guided by an open mind and objective insight.
• Nurturing Future Talent: We will serve as a dependable supporter for the next generation of leaders, ensuring they grow with a global perspective that embraces diversity and inclusion.

Together with the KFAA, I will continue to strive to translate the Fulbright spirit — its vision of world peace and shared prosperity — into living reality. I look forward to the active participation and unwavering support of all our alumni on this journey.
