With every summer, Camp Fulbright just gets better and better. We started Camp Fulbright in 2005, so 2010 marks the five-year anniversary of our English camp program. This is not only the camp’s fifth anniversary, but also the 60th anniversary of Fulbright Korea, and there are exciting changes in store for Camp Fulbright this year!
One of the biggest changes this year will be our move to a brand new university campus. This year’s camp site, Jungwon University, has a beautiful campus with modern facilities for our campers and staff to enjoy.
This year we will once again welcome Junior Counselors from the U.S. to serve on the camp staff. The Junior Counselors will help with our camp planning activities and join in the fun with the campers. They will also have a cultural program of their own through which they will learn about Korean language and culture.
Camp Fulbright’s theme this year, BEYOND THE BOOKS, brings all kinds of school subjects into our English classes. Campers will learn about everything from math to science, history, music, and other subjects in English. Although campers will learn about other subjects, campers don’t need to worry: the lessons will be FUN!
We are extremely excited about our 2010 program! With the new site, our incredible staff and Junior Counselors, and of course the Fulbright ETAs, this summer is going to be an amazing learning experience and tons of fun!
Get ready for Camp Fulbright 2010: BEYOND THE BOOKS!
Yours truly,
Vincent “Vinnie” Flores Director, Camp Fulbright
